Why Forest School?
Forest school holds at it's core the key ethos of child-led learning and play and combines it with the solution to societies current issues around risk taking.
During my 4 year BEd course at Brighton University, I stumbled upon an incredible place... I found a school that encompassed everything that education should be. I found a team that believe in the importance of child-led learning and that this learning needs to be just as much outside as inside...
I will never cease to be grateful for the experience I had at Annan Small School and although I could happily talk for hours about what I have taken from it, I'm going to focus on the aspect that has changed my life... Forest School.

I have always been an outdoorsy guy and being out in the woods building dens and playing games took up much of my time.
Becoming a level 3 Forest School leader was something I was always going to do once I found Annan, and now I can bring the joys of the outdoors to many more children across Devon and wherever else my wanderings take me.
